The 1st edition of the India-LAC Conclave, entitled “Project Partnership – Partnering for the Future”, was held in 2007 in New Delhi in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. Since then, the Conclave has emerged as one of India’s most important multisectoral events covering the two most dynamic regions of the Global South.
The previous editions of the Conclave have successfully showcased the potential business opportunities in the region and helped Indian industry build a new roadmap for future India-LAC collaborations. Since the first edition in New Delhi in 2007, the Conclave has not only set the ground for many new cross-border partnerships to take roots but also proved to be a catalyst for future ones in LAC. The last Conclave, held in Santiago, Chile, in 2018, was a resounding success witnessing over 250 participants over two days of stimulating discussions and B2Bs.
